VDB-Code of Conduct

Social responsibility and future-oriented actions

The ongoing globalisation has been controlling the economic and political discussion for years. The risks taken by the companies by refraining from compliance provisions or taking insufficient provisions should not be underestimated. Observing the laws and directives and adhering to non-codified  best practice regulations for the purpose of a responsible and ethically proper company management are gaining more and more importance for the railway industry, too.  For this reason the German Railway Industry Association (VDB) has been dealing with the subject of compliance for many years. A lot of companies are faced with a great number of various codes. Therefore the VDB has developed a uniform Code of Conduct to simplify and harmonise the compliance regulations in the railway industry for its member companies. In the following we provide the Code of Conduct of the railway industry:
